Seven Lost Keys to a Solid Marriage
Key #1 It's not good for
couples to be alone
God did not leave the male alone in the beginning of creation. He also did not leave Adam and Eve alone. Life requires relationships. For in the time of intimate pain, it is salvation when we have intimate friends that love us and our marriage.
Key #2 Little Things Matter The quality of being attentive to little things is a sign of true love. Details, attention and carefulness are the nutrients of love. The lack of carefulness is a danger sign of love growing cold and of other affections taking priority over our commitment to our spouses.
Key #3 Receive Each Other Rejection is a marriage killer, but the grace of consideration brings healing. Make room for each other. Lay down expectations and watch difficulties change without your "help".
Key #4 Make the Decision Every decision is made based on two factors: comfort and security. Find courage to transfer all of your comfort and security to the confidence of being in the will of God. You can't have a godly marriage without God.
Key #5 Friendships Part 1
Friendships Part 2
Friendships Part 3
Whether you have them, you need them or you have the wrong ones, this factor can be the difference between remaining married and suffering the pain of divorce. Everyone needs friends, but the best kind of friends are hard to find, hard to become and are a gift from God.
